khayerbari is located almost 10km. away from Madarihat. khayerbari is mainly known as “Royal Bengal Tiger & Leopard” rescue centre. During the implementation of the ban, several wild animals were captures by the forest officials which included 11 tigers seized from the Olympic circus in Hoogly district. The tigers that are being shifted to the Khyerbari are part of this group which was kept at Hollong temporarily. The centre has 5 units each consisting of 3 cells, thus having a provision to accommodate a maximum of 15 tigers. According to forest officials this is a unique endeavor unmatched in the entire north east. It place highly attractive to tourists because after ban of animals like Royal Bengal Tiger and Leopards in the circuses they were brought to this centre and tourists can get a close spot to watch.

Chilapata: Chilapata is a dense forest on the way to Cooch Behar and is located around 20 km from the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. The chief attraction at Chilapata is the "Nalraja Garh" or the fort of the Nal kings. The fort was built during the Gupta period in the fifth century, although the fort itself is in ruins now, it has tremendous archeological importance and reminds one of the golden age in the history of India. Other activities include Tonga rides through Mathura tea garden, boating on the Bania river and angling on the confluence of the Kalchini, Bania and Buri Basra.
Jaldapara: Jaldapara is situated in the foothills of eastern Himalayas. The river Torsha flows through this rain forest sanctuary which is mostly covered with tall grasses, the sanctuary encompasses luxuriant vegetation and a rich variety of wildife. The Malangi River also flows nearby from east to west. Riding elephants and jeep safari is the only way to move inside this forest. Elephant safari is preferred to the people staying at Jaldapara overnight. The jeep safari is available in morning and in afternoon. This sanctuary has mixed deciduous forests, grasslands, perennial streams, extensive areas of elephant grass and sandy river banks. Along with the River Torsha flowing through this rain forest, the Malangi River flows from East to West.
