Singhik is a small village close to Mangan town. You can get the most glorious views of Kunchanjunga from here. Situated at an altitude of over 5000ft, Singhik offers a desired break to the travellers on the way to Lachen or Lachung. For those having time, a half an hour's walk uphill takes you to an ancient monastery suspended in time.
A winding road from Singhik goes straight below and meets Tista river about 2 kms above the confluence of Rongyung Chu and Tista. Here you may cross river Tista and visited interiors of Sikkim such as Leek, Timbong and Kussong. However these destinations are mostly out of bound for leisure tourists.
Singhik offers mild weather. The temperature hovering between 15 to 20 degree for most of the tourist season. The monsoon months of July and August sees heavy rainfall in the area. The area also has a number of interesting short nature trails for one to three days along the higher ridges of the surrounding hills. One can also savour the most graceful peak in the world Mount Siniolchu.
