A keyboard is an input device configured after a typewriter keyboard. It is a basic input device that allows the user to enter text so that they can interact with the computer. A keyboard is made up of multiple keys including alphabets, numbers, symbols, and some other special keys and sometimes combinations of keys also perform special functions. Keyboards are divided into two categories – 1. based on connectivity and 2. based on functionality. It can be divided into two types based on their connection, wired and wireless, wired keyboards are connected via USB A or USB C, while wireless keyboards are connected via Bluetooth and radio frequency technology. Similarly, based on functionality, keyboards are divided into mechanical, Bluetooth, gaming, and many other categories.
